The B2 stealth bomber was a United States bomber introduced in Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour.
Background[]
Faster than the B-52 Stratofortress, the B2 was used to deliver Mother of All Bombs. The US General Malcolm Granger also used the B2 to carry out carpet bombing. Compared to its Chinese equivalent, a B2 Carpet Bombing sortie arrives at its target faster and delivers its bomb payload more rapidly, increasing its chances of surviving anti-air defenses. It banks sharply during the bombing run, creating a rough L-shaped pattern. Granger's B2, like many of his aircraft, were equipped with a point defense laser for improved protection against missiles.
In-game[]
The B2 appears in the opening cutscene of Snow Fall, in which it was used to destroy several GLA Stinger Sites. Unlike the playable carpet bombing power, the bombs it dropped caused a firestorm on the ground, similar to the ones created by Chinese MiGs.
The B2 is one of the few air units that is immune to EMP attacks, meaning it can remain in flight when hit with EMP weapons
Behind the scenes[]
The B2 stealth bomber was based on the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit. Strangely, its internal name, as seen in the Worldbuilder, is "AmericaJetB3".
