A Nod tier 1 base
Bases are an important mechanic in the Global Conquest mode of Kane's Wrath.
Overview[]
Bases are nerve centers in the quest for global domination. They provide Area of Influence, support powers and a steady source of resources Income is determined by the Base's current Tier, and proximity to high Tiberium concentrations and cities. The higher the Base Tier, the more populated the city and the more Tiberium in the area, the more extra income generated per turn.
Initially, each commander has four Tier 1 bases scattered across the global map. They are represented by a circle with the faction's construction yard in the middle (see right image). New ones can be constructed by strike forces for 6000 credits (8000 for Scrin). If a strike force is composed of only the MCV (whether it was created as such, or the rest of it was destroyed by the enemy) it will be removed from play.
Strategic Structure[]
If a Base is upgraded to Tier 3, a Strategic Structure can be constructed on that base, costing $6000 to do so. There are 5 possible choices for a Strategic Structure; a superweapon, an epic unit production structure, or 3 other structures that are exclusive to Global Conquest mode that only grants support powers for the global map. Only 1 Strategic Structure can be built in 1 Tier 3 Base and once chosen, it cannot be changed. However, there is no limit on how many Strategic Structures of a specific type can exist in the global map.
If a battle is fought in a base with a Strategic Structure in real-time, only the superweapon or epic unit production structure will appear in the actual battlefield.
Military Victory[]
Destroying all enemy Bases is the primary objective to earn a military victory. Despite the in-game description saying so, all enemy Strike Forces must be destroyed as well, especially those with an MCV or Drone Ship.
Alternate Victory[]
Building more Bases is key to achieving the alternate victory conditions for all factions. However, the objective is different for each faction:
- GDI's alternate victory condition requires 33% of the total land area under GDI's Area of Influence. Building Bases everywhere is the primary means to achieve this, with Tier 3 Bases granting the most Area of Influence.
- Nod's alternate victory condition requires 24 cities to have full Unrest. Building Bases near Cities is the primary means to achieve this, with Tier 3 Bases raising the most Unrest per turn.
- Scrin's alternate victory condition requires the construction of 9 Threshold Towers, which are one of the Strategic Structures they can build. This means the Scrin must have a minimum of 9 Tier 3 Bases to achieve this.
Base passive interactions[]
Every turn, a Base passively affects the global map; it can either influence Population, Unrest, or Tiberium Level.
Population Level[]
GDI Bases have the most positive impact on Population Level. Note that a City's maximum Population Level is 1000.

Unrest Level[]
