Mission Transcript

	The following is based on the Soviet campaign of Red Alert and might contradict canon.

There is a special cargo that needs to be transported to a nearby Soviet base in the northeast. Make sure the trucks reach their destination intact. Along the way, there is a bridge which the Allies may have destroyed. If so, use the Naval options at your disposal. Our attack subs will make short work of any Allied boats you discover. - Mission briefing

Bridge over the River is the sixth Soviet mission in Red Alert.

Following the capture of Khalkis Island near Greece, the Allies made full retreat across much of Eastern Europe although now the United Nations is backing their cause. The Soviet nuclear bombs are almost ready at the Gorzów airbase and the supply trucks need to be sent there. However, they need to cross one of the two bridges, where in both heavy Allied resistance is present. Stalin sends the Soviet Commander to take one of the bridges.

Aftermath

The Soviets finally got the trucks past the bridge despite a load of Allied troops and tanks blocking the convoy. Stalin was proud of his Commander, who received a further promotion.
