The buggy (or Nod buggy) is a Nod light vehicle in Tiberian Dawn.

Background

Nod buggies are light desert patrol vehicles armed with M-60 machine guns. They have powerful engines, but sacrifice armour for speed. As such they are primarily reconnaissance vehicles, infantry countermeasures and serve well as harassment units.

In Tiberian Dawn, the Nod Buggy is based upon the Desert Patrol Vehicle, a lightweight reconnaissance vehicle used by the United States Military.

Towards the end of the war, a new version of the buggy was put into production, featuring a completely enclosed two-seat cockpit, better suspension, armor plating and a single turreted .50 machine gun.

Legacy

The Nod Buggy was succeeded by the attack buggy in the Second Tiberium War, which was developed based on the advanced version of the First Tiberium War patrol vehicle and the Raider Buggy in the Third Tiberium War.
