Airfields are structures necessary for the Chinese forces to maintain and manufacture aircraft used during the War against the GLA.
Game building
Each airfield can support up to four fixed wing aircraft (MiGs) and an unlimited amount of helicopters. Friendly aircraft can also use the airfield (if vacant) for rearming and repairs.

- Judging from the sign (空军军官学院, Chinese for Air Force Academy) on the building, the Airfield would actually be an Airforce Officer Training Facility.
