Command & Conquer: Legions is a mobile game developed by Level Infinite, a development studio under Tencent. Originally under the title Project C&C, several rounds of closed beta tests for Android users occurred in May and June of 2023.[1] It was publicly announced on 22 August 2023 for Android and iOS devices.
Plot
Legions offers a "reimagined storyline" set in the Tiberium universe after the events of the Third Tiberium War,[2] where CABAL manages to return to take over humanity, forcing GDI and Nod to work together. Characters from throughout the series appear as selectable heroes,[note 1] regardless if they are living or deceased by the time in canon. Characters from the Red Alert universe such as Yuri and Albert Einstein also make an appearance.
Gameplay
Despite Legions marketing itself as "a new approach to strategy gameplay [that] opens endless strategic possibilities",[3] the game plays very similar to other mobile strategy titles such as Clash of Clans, Game of War: Fire Age, and Red Alert Online.
Players can engage in real-time PVE and PVP battles against other factions as they collect Tiberium. On a large map shared with other commanders globally, leaders will be able to form strategic alliances of their choosing to coordinate attacks with allies, share resources, and strategize to outwit enemies. Outposts extend reach and secure supply lines as players harvest resources, build bases, develop advanced technologies, and conquer cities and regions to claim victory.[4]
