Red Alert's original score was composed by Frank Klepacki and was voted the best video game soundtrack of 1996 by PC Gamer and Gameslice magazines. Among his most famous songs from the series is the theme of Red Alert, titled "Hell March", which accents the style of the game with adrenalized riffs of electric guitar, the sounds of marching feet, and synthesizers to what is commonly accepted as the German marching command, "Die Waffen, legt an!" (which loosely translates to "Aim your weapons!"). However, the full recording from which the sample originates also includes commands seemingly in English, which may mean the commonly-accepted German quote is erroneous. Originally intended to be the theme for the Brotherhood of Nod faction in the Covert Operations expansion to the original 1995 Command &amp; Conquer game, the track eventually ended up enlisting itself as a staple in the Red Alert series instead.

The Nod forces that attacked Phoenix Base have been traced back to a small base in this sector. Orders received from GDI Command state that the Nod base must be destroyed. However, there is a significant civilian population in the immediate area that must be evacuated by ORCA Transport before the fighting gets too heavy. ==Events==
Following the success of Hell March, Klepacki headed the composition of its two variations, each becoming the main theme for Red Alert 2 ("Hell March 2/HM2") and Red Alert 3 ("Hell March 3"), respectively. Recently, the original Hell March has been used in the motoring show Top Gear, particularly during their American Road trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats in season 12 episode 2.

Walkthrough
When playing the single-player campaign, a limited number of tracks are initially available, and more are unlocked as the player progresses through missions. When playing in a multiplayer or "skirmish" game, however, all tracks are available from the start. More tracks were included in the Red Alert expansion packs: Counterstrike, The Aftermath and Retaliation. The music tracks can be listened to on Frank Klepacki's website.

Despite what the mission briefing says, you are not required to destroy the SAM sites before the Nod base. Since you do not have access to air units for this mission anyway, it is best to prioritize dealing with the Nod base.
An official soundtrack was released with unique album art designed by Westwood Studios and, like the previous release, featured the official Command & Conquer series logo with the Red Alert series motif below. The album contained fifteen tracks, plus a hidden bonus track. Half a minute after the end of track 15 plays Surf No Mercy. Its melodramatic opening was used in the secret It Came From Red Alert! campaign in Counterstrike, and the track itself is a tribute to Misirlou, using the rhythm of an earlier Command & Conquer music piece, No Mercy. While it does not play ingame during the ant missions in Counterstrike, it does appear in Retaliation, where a bug causes it to play outside the campaign as well.

Two tracks on the disc, "Radio 2" and "Face the Enemy 2", had the numbers at the end removed from the track listing, which could potentially cause confusion, since the original "Radio" track is from the first Command & Conquer game, and "Face The Enemy 1" is a different track in Red Alert.

Track List
Names that differ from the in-game name were provided by Frank Klepacki's website and/or the Red Alert Remaster. Unless specified, the track lengths are based on the in-game playlist. For tracks that do not appear in the playlist, the track length is taken from the game's source code, since that is what the playlist track length uses.

Due to some error, all Counterstrike tracks were listed in the in-game jukebox using their internal name. The real names were provided by Frank Klepacki's website.

Second soundtrack disc (Germany only)
  +
<center>
In the German equivalent of the Special Edition, the soundtrack was released as two discs. The first disc is identical to the normal game soundtrack, with the exception that the bonus track is missing from the end of the Smash track. The second soundtrack disc is a compilation of commercial songs by various artists. Cobalt 60 released a special single called Crush, which itself was a remix of the track Crush from the game, and distributed 1000 copies among local DJs.

Secure the Region is the second mission in the GDI campaign of Tiberian Sun.[1]

EVA briefing

GDI1

Mission location

The Nod forces that attacked Phoenix Base have been traced back to a small base in this sector. Orders received from GDI Command state that the Nod base must be destroyed. However, there is a significant civilian population in the immediate area that must be evacuated by ORCA Transport before the fighting gets too heavy. Before the Transports can safely land, all seven SAM sites must be destroyed. Once the civilians have been evacuated, the Nod base can be destroyed.

 • Objective One: Deploy the M.C.V. and begin building a base.
 • Objective Two: Destroy all Nod SAM sites.
 • Objective Three: Destroy the Nod base.

Events

GDI2

GDI forces advance eastwards.

McNeil successfully drove Nod forces away from Phoenix base. Unfortunately, base commander Tao had already been captured, and GDI received a video transmission of Nod general Vega slitting his throat. General Solomon ordered McNeil to destroy the Nod base responsible for the attack on Phoenix and destroy the SAM sites around it to evacuate the civilians near the area by air.

Walkthrough

(Note: This walkthrough assumes Hard difficulty.)

Despite what the mission briefing says, you are not required to destroy the SAM sites before the Nod base. Since you do not have access to air units for this mission anyway, it is best to prioritize dealing with the Nod base.
