The Feather is a powerful brick of proximity C4 packed into a hardened shell with an IFF-equipped proximity trigger.
Overview[]
The proximity C4 (or mines by the Renegade community) is a type of anti-personnel mine available to Hotwire and the technician in the multiplayer C&C mode of Renegade. The proximity C4 is detonated whenever an enemy player approaches it, dealing heavy splash damage that in most cases would kill the enemy.
Proximity C4 is primarily used for defending the team's base structures, and so they are usually deployed at the building entrances and chokepoints to prevent the opposing team from easily infiltrating and destroying the buildings from the inside.
Proximity C4 is limited per team; if more C4 is placed than the allowed capacity the oldest C4 will be removed from the game.
