Game Structure[]

Fake structures follow the same construction prerequisites as their counterparts. They are considerably weaker, but cost only a fraction of the original, and are virtually indistinguishable without stealth detection otherwise. They can be detonated manually to damage nearby threats and to cause diversions, or be upgraded to functional equivalents once they've served said purpose by filling in the rest of its cost.

These structures could be placed within a base to distract enemies with bogus targets, or even make up an entire decoy base on their own. Their detonation ability lacked the range to damage armored units (who typically keep their distance from their targets), but could kill any infantry trying to capture it up close. They can even be used to bait enemy Saboteurs, as they will just explode instead.

These fake buildings were of even more use to Prince Kassad. Although his Fake Structures could not be upgraded with Camo Netting, all of his real structures could. He can easily hide his real base while using Fake Structures to deceive opponents.

Counters[]

Fake buildings are far less durable than their real counterparts, and could also be uncovered by stealth detection.

Trivia[]

  • Prince Kassad's fake buildings were originally supposed to be able to get camo netting, just like their real counterparts.
  • Stinger Sites, Tunnel Networks and SCUD Storms were to also have faux equivalents before they were cut, as their lack of functionality would easily give them away.
