“ | Each USA Air Field can build, arm, control and repair up to four aeroplanes at a time. To build more than four aeroplanes, you must build multiple Air Fields. Note that the Comanche does not need an Air Field for re-supply. The Rocket Pod and Laser Missile upgrades are developed here. - Generals manual(src) |

The Air Field was the USA's aircraft production structure in Command & Conquer: Generals and its expansion, Zero Hour.
Overview[]
The air field produces American aircraft and researches aircraft upgrades. It produces Raptors, Auroras, Stealth Fighters and Comanches, as well as their variants. It automatically repairs and rearms any landed jet aircraft, up to a maximum of four. Helicopters can also be ordered to land at the air field for repairs. Fighters and Bombers require at least one air field hanger space available, otherwise they will run out of fuel in mid-air and be destroyed. Should the player somehow control aircraft from a Chinese faction, their MiGs can use the airfield as well.
The American air field has a large footprint, making it somewhat difficult to place in maps with limited space or uneven terrain.
