The power plant supplies power to the GDI in Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath.
Background[]
Unlike Nod's power plant, GDI's power structure is described as 'clean and efficient'.[1]
The power plant can be upgraded with Advanced Turbines researched as long as a Tech center (Tiberium Wars) or a Command post (Kane's Wrath) is present to increase its power output.
The counterparts to this building from the same era used by Nod use the same name, but the Scrin, during their assault on Earth used Reactors, which served the same purpose.
Game structure[]
Power Plants generate the energy needed by all GDI structures to function properly. Inexpensive and lightly armored, they are often targeted first, particularly in bases dependent on large amounts of turrets for defense.
Upgrades[]
Advanced Turbines allow Power Plants to generate twice as much power.
Purchased individually per Power Plant for $300 and 0:10. Requires Command Post.
