The harvester is the primary resource collector used by the three Houses in Dune II.

Game unit

As its name suggests, the harvester gathers melange from the spice fields and transports it back to the Refinery for processing into credits. When a refinery is constructed, a harvester will be deployed nearby from a Carryall.

If the player were to lose a harvester, in early missions another one is provided free of charge. However, later difficult missions may not have such a privilege.
