White House briefing
At the White House...
Eva Lee: We are now at DEFCON 2.
President Michael Dugan enters the room.
Michael Dugan: What the devil is going on Lieutenant?
Eva: He surfaced Mr. President. I'm sure you all recognize this man - we know him only as Yuri, fugitive advisor to Soviet Premier Romanov. While we were busy fighting the Soviets, Yuri was using his mind control technology to establish a secret army of his own. A group of Yuri's initiates have taken Alcatraz Island here in San Francisco. They've constructed some sort of device there.
Dugan: What kind of device?
Yuri cuts into the transmission.
Yuri: Perhaps I can explain Mr. President.
Dugan: Yuri!...
Yuri: The device is called "Psychic Dominator". There's a network of such devices spread across the globe.
Dugan: More of your mind control tricks?!
Yuri: No tricks Mr. President. In a few moments I will unleash a tidal wave of psychic energy, designed to dominate the minds on entire planet. There will not more free will... only my will.
Dugan: Yuri... Yuri... Yuri! The war is over. Can't we all just... get along? What if I was to give you a full presidential pardon? Your country needs a leader. It could be you!
Yuri: Why should I be content with one nation, if I control the whole world Mr. President?
Dugan: You can't threaten us! We're the most powerful nation on Earth! We did win the war you know.
Yuri: Did you? Indeed... I think not...
Yuri's transmission cuts out.
Eva: Mr. President, something's happening. The device is beginning to deploy.
Dugan: Call in an airstrike! I want that tower taken out!
Airstrike on Alcatraz
WESTWOOD STUDIOS
PROUDLY PRESENTS
A squadron of Harriers is sortied. They fly under the Golden Gate Bridge.
Mojo 1: Command this is Mojo 1, we are on station.
Command: Roger Mojo 1, target is located on Alcatraz Island, Vector 2-7-0 at 10 miles.
Mojo 1: Target acquired. Engage, engage!
Alarms on Alcatraz are sounded. Gattling cannons fire at the Harriers. One of the Harrier's wings is shot off.
Mojo Squadron: I'm hit, I'm hit! [Crashes in another Harrier]
Another Harrier is shot by the cannons and explodes midair.
One of the Harriers, Mojo 2, is shot down and crashes into the island's nuclear reactor, disabling the Psychic Dominator.
Mojo Squadron: Mojo 2 is down! Repeat, Mojo 2 is down!
Cut to Yuri and his initiates.
Initiate: Comrade Leader, the Allied Harriers have damaged one of our power plants in San Francisco. The Psychic Dominator on Alcatraz will not function.
Yuri: Most unfortunate, but we have other devices. I think time has come to activate them.
Yuri pulls on several control levers, activating the Psychic Dominators including one in Egypt and a snowy region.
Eva: Mr. President, we are detecting huge shockwaves of energy across the globe.
Dugan: My god... The maniac's really going to do it... May God help us all...
