The light infantry is the basic foot soldier unit of House Atreides and House Ordos in Dune II.

Background

Light infantry consists of lightly armored foot soldiers, equipped with 9 mm RP assault rifles which fire armor piercing rounds. Infantry have a limited firing range and speed.

Game unit

Light infantry can be purchased either individually or in squads at the barracks.

A light infantry squad consists of three individual soldiers. When the infantry squad is at 50% health, two of these individuals are killed in-game and the remaining soldiers becomes a single light infantry unit.
