The Mount Rushmore National Memorial, near Keystone, South Dakota, is a monumental granite sculpture by Gutzon Borglum (1867–1941), located within the United States Presidential Memorial that represents the first 150 years of the history of the United States of America (USA).
Overview[]
One of the iconic landmarks on the USA that consists of four 60-foot (18 m) sculptures of the heads of former United States presidents, from left to right: George Washington (1732–1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919), and Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865).
Despite the external appearance of a national monument, it was also secretly the home to the Doomsday Superweapons, which was created by President Howard T. Ackerman by converting each of the President's head into a Superweapon that can be used as base defenses, or to attack intercontinental target, in an attempt to "wipe (those) Soviets off the face of the earth". [1]
History[]
| “ | This is unbelievable, I always knew he was a little wound up, but I never saw this one coming...I don't know what to make of this situation, but I'm here to follow orders. And orders are to support you. Let's get moving, we've got to stop our crazy president. - Warren, to the Commander in Operation A Monument to Madness |
” |
In a clandestine operation ordered by Field Marshal Robert Bingham, the Allied Commander aided the American commander Warren Fuller tasked to disable the superweapon and eliminate the President there. This mainly caused by his anti-Soviet paranoia and his plans to demolish Moscow which can jeopardize the Allies-Soviet alliance during their war against the Empire of the Rising Sun. Fortunately the Commander and Warren manage to disable the Superweapons, by destroying the Rushmore Comm Tower and Firebase despite the heavy resistance they faced. The they also eliminated Ackerman ending his threat from destroying Moscow and preventing a Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) between Moscow and USA. [1]

Trivia[]
- There are several interesting fact regarding the map design of this mission.
- The map design of this mission is a shrunken, altered and simplified version of the real life Mount Rushmore national park located on South Dakota state US.
- On the initial area where Tanya and Warren's forces first appear, there are a welcome sign with written with texts (Britton Visitor Center, Ranger Station: Inyo National Forest, US Department of Agriculture.
- This is strange because Britton is an actual city in South Dakota state, but the welcoming sign is based the Mammoth Lake/Inyo Forest sign which originated from an area in California state that is located on the west side of the USA.
- Based on the geographical design and contour of the map, the initial location of this mission supposed to be located on Inyo Forest or Mammoth Lake area, but somewhere during the development it was changed to Mount Rushmore.
- This was also supported by the appearance of small houses, tents and firecamps on the east and northwestern side of the map, which no camping was allowed near Mt Rushmore, unless the area the camps are located suppsoed to represent Black Hill Forest.
- There is also the building on the northern side of Warren's Conyard is supposed to represent the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center.
- The said building also connected to a stage located on the northern side of the building, it seemingly based on the Ampitheater area, which in real life this area is usually used by those who permitted to organized First Amendment activities.
