Gen Gameicon The following is based on Generals cut content and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Napalm Strike was to be a Chinese support power in Generals and Zero Hour.

Similar to the American A-10 strike and the GDI Orca Strike in Tiberium Wars, it would have summoned a team of five standard MiGs from offscreen to deliver a barrage of napalm to the targeted area before leaving the area. Presumably, they would have been uncontrollable (like all other support power aircraft), despite their similarity in appearance to the buildable aircraft.

The support power itself is actually fully functional, more or less, and is only unusable because of its absence from any CommandSet lists - thus meaning that it does not appear on any UI in the game.

Trivia[]

  • Some mods for Generals, such as Shockwave, restore this support power. In the case of Shockwave, however, the number of aircraft deployed was reduced from five to three.
  • The reason for its removal remains unknown, though the power's redundancy (as any Chinese player could manually field MiGs themselves) combined with its somewhat lack of universal effectiveness like all other powers likely made it not worth the General's Point.
  • It remains unknown whether General Tao, who fielded a unique version of the MiG, would have gotten his own version or the default.
