North Carolina is a US state in Northern America. Classified as a Yellow Zone and designated Y-6, it was a long term field post of Ajay, Nod's major tactician, and the place where one of the first battles of the Third Tiberium War were fought.
Third Tiberium War[]
The incident that sparked GDI deployment in the area was the halting and subsequent explosion of a Nod freight truck, masked as a civilian transport. Veteran rifleman squads were deployed to the location several hours later to investigate heat signatures picked up by GDI satellites. The squads managed to reactivate a GDI training base in the vicinity and locate a major Nod base in the area. After losing a few Orcas to Nod SAM emplacements, an Ion cannon was used to obliterate the base, eradicating the Nod presence in the area.
