In the campaign and multiplayer modes of Command & Conquer: Renegade, the player can acquire power-ups to boost their health and armor. Power-ups are granted whenever a player moves over them. In multiplayer, power-ups take a moment to respawn after a player takes one.
Health items[]
Health items replenish a fixed amount of health to the player.
- Box of bandages: adds +25 points of health.
- Roll of bandages: adds +50 points of health.
- First-aid kit: adds +100 points of health.
Armor items[]
Armor absorbs the impact of many weapons, reducing the damage to health. Armor items replenish a fixed amount of armor to the player.
- Kevlar vest: adds +25 points of armor.
- Breastplate: adds +50 points of armor.
- Body armor: adds +100 points of armor.
Upgrades[]
In the campaign missions, health and armor upgrade medals increase the player's maximum health capacity by five points, allowing for health or armor values to top off at a new maximum. There are a total of 6 health upgrades and 8 armor upgrades throughout the missions:
- Rescue and Retribution: 2 health and 2 armor upgrades
- Armored Assault: 1 health and 1 armor upgrades
- Deadly Reunion: 1 armor upgrade
- The Grip of the Black Hand: 1 health upgrade
- Obelisk of Oppression: 1 health and 1 armor upgrades
- Evolution of Evil: 1 armor upgrade
- All Brains, No Brawn: 1 armor upgrade
- Tomorrow's Technology Today: 1 health and 1 armor upgrades
Data disc[]
Present only in the campaign missions, data discs provide additional intel to the player, be it revealing an unseen section of the map or adding a new entry to the EVA data link. However, these information will be provided eventually upon mission or objective completion regardless if these discs are found.
