Their technical knowledge allows them to repair friendly structures and capture enemy and tech structures. And their portable jet ski means that water is no obstacle for them. They also possess first-aid training, and can heal wounded friendlies using the medical supplies from their inflatable tent. |

Its torpedoes can hit submerged targets but the torpedoes cannot be used on land. Note that if the unit is destroyed, any infantry inside it will be lost along with it. |
||
− | |
||
− | The Allied engineers are equipped with medical supplies, allowing them to heal wounded Allied infantry with ease. However, in order to do so, the engineer must deploy into a first aid tent, which can be brought back down, leaving the engineer mobile again. When multiple first aid tents are deployed close together, they can heal each other and the more of them are deployed the faster they heal. However, being a tent, a first aid tent is not robust enough to be classified as a structure so it can be easily ground away by heavy vehicles. |
||
+ | It is the standard Tier 1 Allied ship at sea, roughly equal to the Stingray and Yari mini-sub, but on land serves roughly the same role that the Sickle has in the Soviet Army, which is the anti-infantry role. Commanders also admit it is defenseless against aircraft and its armor is relatively weak to most tanks. Despite the fact that it has machine guns, large numbers of anti-armor infantry can swarm in and quickly destroy the Riptide. |
||
− | In addition to the kits, they also come along with a collapsible jet-ski which can be used to cross large bodies of water and reach isolated buildings and oil derricks. Engineers have no weapons of any sort, unlike the Soviet combat engineers, who have revolvers, and they cannot sprint like Imperial engineers. Engineers should always travel with a Peacekeeper escort as they have next to no armour and because enemy forces often make them priority targets, as their ability to capture structures makes them extremely dangerous. Even so, they are better off than previous generations of engineers, as engineers had no such equipment back then. Because Allied engineers are unsuitable in conventional military roles, they typically skew older as well as wiser than the average combatant. Engineers tend to talk with in a nasal voice. |
||
+ | Because the Riptide is available once an Armor Facility has been built and has anti-infantry machine guns, it is sometimes used to rush infantry to the opponent's base during the early game if the opponent's forces consists of mostly infantry. |
||
⚫ | |||
+ | |||
+ | Finally, due to its decent speed, variable weapons, and moderate cost, the Riptide is probably the most well-balanced APC in Red Alert 3. |

“ | Alright, who's my first pickup? - Riptide ACV rolling out |
” |
The Riptide ACV is the Allied transport and T1 anti-infantry/anti-ship vehicle in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 and its expansion, Uprising.
Background
Nothing is known about the Riptide ACV's background. It is an air-cushion vehicle designed for transporting infantry, and can traverse any terrain with ease. It is armed with a .50 caliber heavy machine gun and two torpedo tubes. It can transport five infantry units.
Abilities
Evacuate | Drops off all infantry inside. Usable only on land. |
Game Unit
It is mainly used to transport infantry but it also can be used when in superior numbers in water, during which its torpedoes will sink any capital ships in a short time. Its torpedoes can hit submerged targets but the torpedoes cannot be used on land. Note that if the unit is destroyed, any infantry inside it will be lost along with it.
It is the standard Tier 1 Allied ship at sea, roughly equal to the Stingray and Yari mini-sub, but on land serves roughly the same role that the Sickle has in the Soviet Army, which is the anti-infantry role. Commanders also admit it is defenseless against aircraft and its armor is relatively weak to most tanks. Despite the fact that it has machine guns, large numbers of anti-armor infantry can swarm in and quickly destroy the Riptide.
Because the Riptide is available once an Armor Facility has been built and has anti-infantry machine guns, it is sometimes used to rush infantry to the opponent's base during the early game if the opponent's forces consists of mostly infantry.
Finally, due to its decent speed, variable weapons, and moderate cost, the Riptide is probably the most well-balanced APC in Red Alert 3.
The Riptide ACV is available starting in The Shark and the Lure.
Changelog

- Red Alert 3 patch 1.05: will now properly fire its torpedoes when force firing in the water
- Red Alert 3 patch 1.11:
- vulnerability to gun damage reduced to 25% from 50%
- while inside a Nanoswarm, the Riptide ACV can now properly attack other units within the Nanoswarm
