Rocket soldiers were a type of heavy infantry employed by GDI and Nod during the First Tiberium War.
Contents
Background
Rocket soldiers made up the anti-tank/air component of both Nod and GDI.
Legacy
While GDI decommissioned these units, Nod replaced them with the Rocket infantry.
Game unit
Rocket Soldiers are trained at Barracks installations for GDI forces and Hand of Nod installations for the Brotherhood of Nod.
Rocket soldiers are highly effective against vehicles and buildings when in numbers. However, whilst a small group can usually hold out against enemy armour, their slow speed leaves them vulnerable to being crushed. Also, Rocket Soldiers are ineffective against other enemy infantry, and as such it is usually prudent for them to be escorted by other infantry or vehicles.
Rocket soldiers are capable of engaging both ground and air targets, and perform well in the anti-air role, allowing them to provide protection to other units that do not have anti-air capablity.
