Saboteurs were the Brotherhood of Nod's engineers in Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and its expansion, Kane's Wrath.
Background[]
Nod's elite society of Combat Engineers - known as the Saboteurs - includes some of the most loyal and brilliant Clerics. Saboteurs use their special talents and skills to take over key enemy structures. Saboteurs can also rig certain civilian structures and bridges with proximity-detonated explosive charges. A Saboteur is made by years of training in science and in the dark arts of sabotage, infiltration, appropriation, and hijacking.[1]

Booby Trap | The Saboteur sets a Booby Trap on neutral structures, Husks, tech structures and bridges for $100. Booby Traps on neutral structures kill the first infantry units attempting to garrison them. Husks, tech structures and bridges are destroyed instantly on activation, and deals 200 grenade damage, effectively killing any enemy engineer equivalent. This ability has a 0:20 cooldown (Ctrl+A). |
Upgrades[]

Cybernetic legs | Extensive research into cybernetic limbs has yielded enhanced actuators that provide Marked of Kane Saboteurs with twice as much speed as they had before. (Ctrl+A). | Purchasable at Marked of Kane Secret Shrine for a cost of $1000 and takes 0:30 to research. |
Game unit[]
The Saboteurs can perform all the standard duties of a engineer: capturing enemy and neutral structures, repairing friendly structures and bridges, and reactivating walker husks. In addition, they can plant booby traps on structures, bridges, and husks, causing them to explode when an enemy attempts to capture them.
The Marked of Kane sub-faction saboteurs can be enhanced with Cybernetic legs that make them faster, and thusly more capable of achieving their goals.
Changelog[]
- Tiberium Wars patch 1.01: can no longer capture structures when under the effects of the phase field support power.
- Tiberium Wars patch 1.05:
- fixed an exploit which allowed engineer-type units to capture a structure without being adjacent to ita
- speed increased by 20%
- can now capture enemy structures and repair allied structures as soon as they reach the edge of the structuresa
a - as Kane's Wrath used a long-obsolete version of Tiberium Wars as its coding base, these changes were effectively reversed in the expansion pack and were never officially fixed.
