The Spy Drone was an American reconnaissance drone that could be deployed periodically by a US general, should he select the ability to do so as a basic promotional option.
The Spy Drone was almost identical to the Scout Drone that could be purchased to support all US ground vehicles, except of course that it did not require a parent vehicle. Deployable over any area of the battlefield, the Spy Drone flew in a tight circle, providing information on enemy unit movements and positions over a fairly wide area, including stealth units.
Spy Drones themselves were stealthy, and would remain in the air and providing data unless they were detected and shot down by the enemy. If detected, the Spy Drone could be shot down easily by anti-aircraft weapons, although the Drone Armour Upgrade (from the Strategy Center) could help keep it in the air for a little longer.
