The Devil\'s Tounge tank was from Tiberium Sun and is a different machine. The Flame Tank from Tiberium Dawn has heavy armor. 217.160.230.178 18:18, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

No, the tank is *ALSO* called Devil's Tongue in Tiberian Dawn. Check the manual scan on replacementdocs.com. Mikael Grizzly 18:35, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

FYI

For the game series, flame tanks aren't just science fiction, they have been used since WWII. Look up flame tank on wikipedia. 65.27.139.162 18:20, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Flame tanks in real life have as much in common with the gigantic self propelled flamethrower from C&C as a Beretta 8000 Cougar has with a Beretta AR-70. Shaur M. S. Grizlin 19:05, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget that the flame weapons might cause friendly fire and hit multiple enemies.

'Tis true that tanks have been equipped with flamethrowers in the Real World, but as Mikael said there hasn't been anything like the flame tank, which is just an ENORMOUS twin flamethrower on treads. And is a wee bit of a silly proposition (a bit like many things in C&C). Makron1n 19:01, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Should it be mentioned that the TWIII flametank is too heavy to be carried by carryalls?

Improvements to the TWIII flametank would be it's heavy armor. (Although when I tested it in gameplay,it happened to be as strong as a light tank's armor.Evancartoonist 20:06, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Notes

The flame tank in renegade has armor as strong as the medium tank.Evancartoonist 02:51, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Devils Tongue

While watching the FMV I've noticed that when it surfaces, the single gasoline tank on it's back raises up and the dual flamethrowers on the sides move out.Evancartoonist 05:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Tiberium War III Flame Tank

This tank is very useful if you played in an urban warfare map, that usually have plenty of buildings. Player like to garrison buildings as additional defensive turrent so make use of the Flame Tank to counter such threat. But you should be careful not to gruop Flame Tank too close, asingle destroy would result a fireball which damage other unit too close to it. Combine with Venom and Stealth Tank make excellent raiding force in urban warfare before and achive victory even before Tier 3 as most player are waiting to build stronger Tier 3 unit such as Mammoth Tank. By Willy NOD

But as GDI, what vechle could ungarrison buildings too? And as scrin? Deaths 18:40, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
