That bit about the leg bones might be considered stretching it, but the standard scientific rebuke to the whole 'Giant Ant' scenario is that mass increases as linear size cubed, whilst bone cross section increases only as linear size squared. So that's why these ants have bones of hollow steel (or the eqivalent) - to support their own weight.

Serious nerd moment. The square-cube law doesn't even matter when it comes to insects. Ants have to be small due to their extremely inefficient respiratory system. A giant ant would simply suffocate... not that anyone cares, as this is science fiction. PsiSeveredHead 11:45, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

They're GIANT ANTS. Who gives a shit about science. It's THEM! Makron1n 20:19, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Tesla Ant Mistake

Which of the 4 Giant Ants mission do you encountered the Tesla Ant? I never run into one.

the last mission, the queen ant is the tesla ant, also westwood based these ants off the ants in the 1950s cult classic monster movie THEM! just as tiberium is based off the alien subastance in the Movie the Monalith Monsters, i have see both movies and i loved em. [M164U1988]

The Tesla Ant and Queen ant are the same thing? So how does the Tesla Ant have a cameo (or was it made by a fan?)
