This page includes a transcript of What is Rightfully Ours, the second mission of Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath.[1]

Description

Nod's technology has been lost. Reclaim what is rightfully ours from a covert GDI research base in Australia.

Briefing

Nod is resurgent, but remains weak in the face of GDI's vast technological superiority. The Brotherhood Archives were all but destroyed in the aftermath of the Second Tiberium War, leaving Kane without access to his centuries of research.

Paradoxically, our friends at GDI have provided a most convenient solution. An exact duplicate of our stealth databank, origin unknown, is under analysis at a covert GDI Research Facility on the Australian coast.

Reclaim what is ours.

Mission script

Kane: Marcion's path to correction begins today. You must make landfall in the heretic's territory. You must send a strike force across the oceans... to Australia. Soon, my child. Soon.

Incoming transmission.

Nod EVA: This lab contains the last existing record of the Brotherhood's stealth technology, capture it.

(Shortly after the mission begins.)

Establishing video uplink.

Kane: As the Brotherhood splintered in the aftermath of my... (touches cybernetics) death, our technology was left to rot, years of research left by the wayside. My spies have located an abandoned GDI laboratory where our stealth technology, captured long ago sits. Idled, neither exploited nor understood by those narrow-minded fools. Reclaim it for the Brotherhood.

(Shortly after this message.)

Establishing video uplink.

(The Nod commander receives a transmission from a STEEL TALONS COMMANDER, who is standing in front of several walking Behemoths.)

Steel Talons Commander: Attention! Attention, you fanatical scum! Yeah, you didn't think you'd go undetected, did you? This is GDI, Steel Talon territory, and we don't take too kindly to you Nod types around here. You best get praying to that corpse prophet of yours, because you don't stand a chance in hell!

Nod Soldier: Steel what?

(After destroying a Titan Mk. II.)

Nod Soldier: Man, I haven't seen a Titan since Tib War 2!

(After destroying a Wolverine.)

Nod Soldier: Damn Wolverines! One of them took out my brother in 2023!

(When approaching the abandoned buildings in the area.)

Nod Soldier: Mmm... (sarcastically) Scenic.

Nod Soldier: Seems deserted.

(When the GDI lab is sighted.)

Nod Soldier: There it is, the lab!

(When the lab's defenses come online when Nod forces approach.)

Nod Soldier: It's an ambush!

(After the lab is captured.)

Incoming transmission.

Nod EVA: Protect the lab until all data is uploaded to the Brotherhood central servers.

Nod EVA: Commencing data upload.

(Lab upload complete in: 4:00.)

Nod EVA: If the lab is more than 50% damaged, data may be corrupted. Defend it.

New bonus objective.

(When the countdown reaches 3:00.)

Nod EVA: Data upload, 25% complete.

Nod Soldier: Let's not get over confident.

(When the countdown reaches 2:00.)

Nod EVA: Data upload, 50% complete.

Nod Soldier: We need to hold this lab!

(When the countdown reaches 1:00.)

Nod EVA: Data upload, 75% complete.

Nod Soldier: Gotta finish the upload!

(When the countdown reaches zero.)

Nod EVA: Data upload complete.

Establishing video uplink.

Kane: We cannot withstand this Steel Talons' onslaught for long. Arrogant their commander may be, but even with his aging weapons, he has us outgunned. Disengage, my child, before all our hard-earned gains are lost. We shall return.

Objectives

Primary Objectives

  • Capture covert GDI Research Laboratory
    • With the loss of the Nod Archives, we are handicapped in the arms race against GDI. Recapture our Stealth Tech databank from the laboratory.
