The Tiberian Sun Summit held in 1999 was an event that took place in the Czech Republic to promote Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun several weeks before its launch date. Unlike later summits organized by Electronic Arts Los Angeles, this summit was reserved for selected journalists of gaming magazines and Westwood Studios representatives. Attendance was approximated to 100 participants.
Activities[]
Aside from playing Tiberian Sun earlier than anyone in the world, participants of the summit were divided into two teams (GDI and Nod) to play paintball. Taking advantage of the abandoned Czechoslovakian military base in an undisclosed location, the paintball event also featured pyrotechnic effects from tanks and other armoured vehicles.
