This page includes a transcript of A House Unfit for Rebels, the second Allied mission of Uprising.[1]
Introduction[]
- Eva: You haven't lost your touch, Commander. Shinzo's armies have sworn allegiance to Tatsu, so now that area is secured. However, there are still other Shogunate leaders who are yet unwilling to back down. Despite Shinzo's defeat, The Warlord Kenji in Osaka continues to marshal his forces. Tatsu will give you the particulars on your assignment. Do be careful, sir.
Tatsu: Kenji has always been arrogant, but I never thought he would go this far and betray me. He might prove to be even a greater challenge than Shinzo, as he is a man who has embraced the modern ways of warfare. He will use the latest technology to protect his position. It's a heavily defended high-tech fortress outside of Osaka. Do not under-estimate him. Kenji may seem brash and arrogant, but make no mistake, he is lethal.

COMMANDER KENJI TENZAI - The Empire's defeat was a wake-up call for Kenji, who refused to give in and redoubled efforts to complete development of new military forces intended for the ultimate defense of the Imperial homeland. And as these weapons came online, a famous smirk reappeared on his lips and the swagger returned to his step.
Mission script[]
- Eva: It looks like Kenji knew you were coming. He's set up quite the defensive perimeter. You'll need to breach this perimeter before focusing attacks on his main base.
- Tatsu: Kenji puts his faith in the latest weapons and defense technology. His fortress is protected by a series of Nanoswarm Hive generators. You'll have to find a way to infiltrate and destroy them.
- Kenji: Do you really believe you can get past my defenses? Very bold... but very foolish.
Primary Objective 1: Deactivate the Nanoswarm Shields[]
- Intel Officer: The Nanoswarm barriers here are an improved design, and will dissipate on their own. You will need to find a way to bring them down.
[Upon completion]
- Kenji: What? You couldn't have penetrated my Nanoshield... could you?
- Intel Officer: With the Nanoswarm barriers down, we have an opportunity to marshal more forces. Establish a base before Kenji's loyalists can regain their footing.
Primary Objective 2: Destroy Kenji's HQ[]
- Kenji: Well done. Now I'll actually have to try. Get ready for a beating you'll never forget.
- Eva: We have a new addition to the Allied arsenal... the Cryo Legionnaire. They should help take out those packs of enemies, Commander.
[A Century Bomber flies over the base, para-dropping five Cryo Legionnaires.]
- Intel Officer: A squad of Cryo Legionnaires has arrived to assist in the capture operation. Their ice beams can stop enemy combatants cold.
[A Steel Ronin walks up to the base.]
- Intel Officer: Kenji's estate is defended by anti-tank robots called the Steel Ronin. Our armor divisions are advised to avoid engaging them directly.
Bonus Objective 1: Repair the Bridges[]
- Tatsu: If you can repair the downed bridges in the area, I can send you some assistance.
- Intel Officer: Tatsu has requested help in repairing the bridge leading to his forces.
Bonus Objective 2: Capture the Instant Dojo and Mecha Bay[]
- Tatsu: You can weaken Kenji by capturing some of his production buildings. I'm sending you some of my engineers to assist in the task.
- Intel Officer: Tatsu would be greatful if we were to capture the Imperial Mecha Bays and Instant Dojos in the area.
Primary Objective 3: Destroy the Tech Inhibitor and Freeze Kenji[]
[Upon destroying the HQ, Kenji in his King Oni-like robot walks to the bridge behind his base.]
- Kenji: Did you think you've won? You don't even understand what you've done, do you?
- Intel Officer: Prepare to close in on Kenji's location -- priority overridden. Caution. We detect that one of our own Tech Inhibitors has been activated and is being used against us. The Tech Inhibitor prevents us from capturing Kenji. You will need to use infantry forces to destroy it.
[A Century Bomber para-drops a crew of four Cryo Legionnaires and Tanya before being destroyed.]
- Allied troop: I bet one of them Cryo Legionnaires could deal with all those guys.
Completion[]
- Intel Officer: Tech Inhibitor destroyed. Chronosphere network connection re-established. Preparing to use the Chronosphere on Kenji's location.
- Kenji: Tatsu! How can you do this to me!? Nooooooooo!
- Intel Officer: Warlord Kenji has been subdued and will be transported to our detention center in the vicinity. Mission accomplished.
Failure[]
[When the player's loses all of their Javelin Soldiers or Engineers during Primary Objective 1]
- Intel Officer: We no longer have the forces to bring down the defenses. Aborting mission.
[When the player loses all of their Cyro Legionnaires during Primary Objective 3]
- Intel Officer: You have failed to bring down the Tech Inhibitor. Mission aborted.
[When the player is defeated at any point of the mission, other than killing Kenji during Primary Objective 3]
- Kenji: You knew this was going to happen. Now go back to where ever you came from.
[When the player kills Kenji by destroying his robot during Primary Objective 3]
- Intel Officer: Kenji has been killed in action. Your task was to capture him alive. Mission failed.
