The year is 2062. The war against Tiberium has been all but lost. Only Kane holds the key to humanity's survival.

[MANCHESTER UK]
Scene fades onto Manchester, a city devastated by Tiberium. Two Orca aircraft fly in, transporting a V-35 Ox through the city.
Control: Squawk Oscar Six. Frequency Change Approved.
Oscar Six: Oscar Six, baggage is en route.
Control: Ident confirmed. Proceed direct. Package is en route. Extend downwind Oscar Six.
Oscar Six: Copy. Oscar Six inbound.
The aircraft approach the GDI administration building. The GDI logo is scarred by Tiberium.
Control: Oscar Six. You are cleared for landing.
Oscar Six: Copy.
The aircraft land on the building. A hooded figure is seen escorted by two guards.
Control: Security access granted.
The guards are armed with P90s. As the figure and guards walk down the hall, the GDI administrator converse amongst themselves about the situation.
Administrator: This madness.
Control: Package is on site.
The door opens and the figure approaches. He takes off his hood, revealing himself to be Kane. The administrators look on, intrigued and anxious.
Kane: Brothers, Sisters... I have a proposition...
Kane holds up the Tacitus.
Administrator: The Tacitus...
People in the room look on in awe.
