This page includes a transcript of Area Fifty-Two, the fifth and final American mission of Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour.[1]
Introduction[]
[BNN]
[LIVE]
[VIA VIDEOPHONE]
James Seabury: Somewhere in this besieged city, a man known as Dr. Thrax orchestrates his last stand against America. The recent capture of a GLA oil field has cut up the pipeline funding Dr. Thrax and his weapons research. Now with his enemies closing in, the chemical-wielding warlord threatens to unleash missiles loaded with gamma toxin, among the most deadly nerve agents ever developed. Hoping to avoid an incident even more catastrophic than the Baikonur disaster, the American response is its signature shock-and-awe campaign. Eliminating Dr. Thrax would surely decimate the GLA's offensive capabilities. [Static]
Alarms go off in the distance as fighter jets are heard flying overhead.
Seabury: Further transmissions may be difficult. [Static] This is James Seabury, reporting from the field.

Cutscene 1[]
Up in Earth's orbit, an American spy satellite locates Dr. Thrax's toxin production facilities.
[Earth Orbit:]
[USA Spy Satellite Codename: Powers]
USA Command: SATCOM A4 has confirmation on base location. Visuals are uploading now. Field, please verify status of toxin production facilities.
Field: Toxin production facilities confirmed, sir!
[Data Uplink:]

USA Command: We have a go upon presentations of final clearance code.
Field: Clearance code is SIERRA-HOTEL-OSCAR-CHARLIE-KILO.

Six Tomahawk cruise missiles fly through the area, striking and obliterating the toxin facilities. A GLA rebel gets crushed by a flying technical.
Gameplay 1[]
[INCOMING TRANSMISSION:]
[GLA rebels to the east may aid our effort]
Eva: General, due to the civilian presence in this location, you will need to use ground forces to assault the final base and capture the four toxin missile sites in the area. Our successful liberation of the oil sites in Amisbad has provided us with additional resources for this operation. Dr. Thrax must be defeated so he can't inflict further terror on the world. General, you must stop him.
[INCOMING TRANSMISSION:]
[General, the GLA base to the east has decided to rebel against the Toxin General and his mass use of toxins]
[INCOMING TRANSMISSION:]
[Rebel GLA forces have joined you]
Rebel GLA: We offer you our assistance to rid us of this toxin monger. His obsession will kill us all and that we cannot allow!
[HINT:]
[Intel puts some of the missiles in this region]
Eva: Intel says the missile sites that we are looking for are in this region. Use caution and make sure those toxins aren't released.
[WARNING:]
[Dr. Thrax is utilizing more potent toxins. Protect our infantry]
Eva: Infantry won't work well here, General. Our enemy is using toxins in almost every weapon they throw at us.
[INCOMING TRANSMISSION:]
[Capture the 4 toxin missile silos before they can launch]
Eva: General, your main objective is to capture the four toxin missile silos targeted on US major metropolitan areas before they launch.
[WARNING:]
[Dr. Thrax has been known to use a Sneak Attack Tunnel Network to surprise enemies]
- On capturing the first missile silo
- Eva: The first missile silo has been captured and the hazmat decontamination team is en route. Good job, sir.
- On capturing the second missile silo
- Eva: The second missile silo has been captured. Two to go.
- On capturing the third missile silo
- Eva: Good job, sir. The third missile silo has been captured. One to go.
- On capturing all four missile silos
- Eva: Great work, General. We now have control of all four toxin missile silos. The operation is a success.
Eva: Now that Dr. Thrax is defeated, we can finally bring our boys home. Good work, General!
Ending[]
Seabury: Dr. Thrax and his arsenal of toxic missiles have been destroyed. The cause he served, the Global Liberation Army, has once more been run to ground. Weapons of mass destruction, like those launched from Baikonur, no longer threaten the free world. By land, sea, and air, American troops head home, battle weary but proud... and as the smoke clears, perhaps we are a step closer to lasting peace. This is James Seabury, good morning.
