Kilian is brought forth, judged, and sentenced - and then the sentence is carried out; Kane promotes you and sends you to Italy.

[Command Center]
[Ayers Rock, Australia]
[Yellow Zone Y-4]
A body lays on the ground in the headquarters. Kane and his guards enter the room.
Kane: Such a pity... but doubt is like a cancer and must be eradicated.
Kilian is pushed into the room to face the Messiah.
Kane: I gave you everything Kilian... an army to command, a place in my Inner Circle, a future... beyond your wildest dreams... and all I asked for in return was your faith.
Kilian: My faith is strong. I believe in the Brotherhood and I believe that you have forsaken your followers.
Kane: Get me Ajay.
A guard starts a transmission with Ajay.
Kane: Tell me again Ajay...
Ajay: Sir!
Kane: Tell me about Sarajevo.
Ajay: Uh... Well it's all a little fuzzy...
Kane: You said you witnessed Kilian's troops ambushed the Commander.
Kilian: It was a renegade squad, there was a GDI mole in charge.
Kane: She said she jeopardized not only myself and my science ministers, but the very future of the Brotherhood!
Kilian: It's hearsay, you have no proof!
Kane: Ajay's faith has never been questions. If he testifies against you, it's all the proof I need.
Ajay: I uh... I didn't say I actually saw Kilian's forces in Sarajevo.
Kane: You assured me she was plotting behind my back, you called her actions treacherous!... and we both know the punishment for treason... is death... Were they Kilian's troops, Ajay? The verdict is yours.
Kilian: Go ahead Ajay... Condemn me, this is exactly what you wanted isn't it?
Ajay (frustrated): I don't know, I can't say for sure what Kilian's been up to, it's so damn confusing!
Kane: Alright.
Ajay: I just want what's best for Nod!
Kane (to guard): Do it.
The guard pulls out a pistol and shoots Kilian in the chest. She falls over and collapses.
Kane: Congratulations Ajay, your faith has been tested... and you've passed.
Ajay's transmission ends.
Kane: As I predicted Commander, a spot in my Inner Circle has recently opened up. Congratulations you're my second-in-command.
Kane (to guard): Leave us.
The guards leave. Kane looks at Kilian's corpse.
Kane: For the record, I had no intention of winning the war against GDI, the fact Kilian simply could not comprehend. [Pushes body off desk and takes document] Now GDI has always viewed the Tacitus as a warning about the Visitors. I saw it as an opportunity. I saw it as an opportunity to invite a superior race to Earth... a race with great knowledge about Tiberium. Now according to the Tacitus, liquid Tiberium explosion would alert the Visitors' scout ships, but all my experiments with Liquid-T failed to produce the necessary blast yield...
Kane replays footage of the Liquid-T explosion.
Kane: But that is why I started the war with GDI to provoke their Ion Cannon retaliation, the only force my science ministers deem a strong enough detonation for Liquid-T. Of course, the other reason for fighting GDI was simply to thin their forces, so the Visitors can complete their mission. Now ninteen of these towers are being built on Earth.
Kane plays footage of the Threshold towers.
Kane: Each of them will soon be a gateway, an interstellar passage to worlds beyond. Unfortunately, the towers are coded, and the only way inside is with the code. I believe the code resides inside their Relay Nodes. You must capture one of these structures immediately, it is the key to unlocking our destiny.
