Introduction[]
Eva: Welcome back, Commander. You're looking very fit and rested. I hope you're ready, because we have some important work ahead of us. Our occupation force in Japan has intercepted some disturbing news. Instability is mounting in various provinces there, threatening everything that we achieved in our victory. Their leader, Tatsu, has been cooperative with our postwar arrangements, but the problem lies with their provincial Shoguns. These warlords are raising armies against Tatsu, and our occupation. The plot seems to be spearheaded by Shinzo Nagama. His loyalties lie fiercely with the late Emperor, and he refuses to bow to any other. We'll need to send in our own forces to put this uprising to rest. You'll be working directly with Tatsu on this. Please try to show him the proper respect, sir, as he's working with us now. Good luck, Commander.
Tatsu: Commander, I'm told that you're the best field officer the Allies have. I hope so, because we need to move quickly. Shinzo has many loyal followers and his numbers are growing steadily. He has always resented my authority and my progressive ways. He's too old and stubborn to understand that the world has changed. But that doesn't mean he isn't dangerous. He is a master warrior and quite deadly. You'll find him in the Iga Province, home of the Nagama clan. Do not let his stubbornness be the cause of our destruction.

Mission summary[]
Intel Officer: The warlord Shinzo Nagama is holding out at his clan's village. Your mission is to subdue him so he can be brought to justice. Specifically:
- Establish a forward base in the vicinity of Shinzo's main base.
- Defeat Shinzo's loyalist forces.
- Use our cryo technology to capture Shinzo alive.
Because the war with the Empire of the Rising Sun is official over, we cannot commit our full arsenal in this operation. We appreciate your flexibility. Godspeed, Commander.

- COMMANDER SHINZO NAGAMA - The untimely death of Emperor Yoshiro took a heavy toll on Shinzo, who was considered one of the late Emperor's most trusted retainers. Shinzo returned to a life of seclusion at his ancestral Shin Iga Province, where he is believed to be searching for spiritual guidance. A less popular theory is that his plotting to fulfill the Emperor's final wishes.
Mission script[]
Primary Objective 1: Escort the MCV to the Staging Area[]
[Iga Province. Numerous Archer Maidens can be seen shooting at dummy targets.]
- Intel Officer: With the aid of Tatsu, we are deploying forces to the Iga Province, the ancestral homeland of the Nagama family.
[Camera shifts over to the player's forces consisting of five Multigunner IFVs (two loaded with Engineers and three loaded with Peacekeepers), three Javelin Soldiers and three Attack Dogs. An MCV is under green's control.]
- Intel Officer: Escort this Mobile Construction Vehicle to the designated location.
[Once the MCV approaches towards the buildings]
- Imperial troop: Invaders! Sound the alarm!
- Allied troop: Imperial Forces Incoming! Get in those buildings!
- Imperial troop: Let's go get them! Move out!
[When the player approaches the bridge]
- Allied troop: I wish we had more ladies in -our- infantry divisions... heh heh heh.
[When the MCV reaches the designated area, the MCV unpacks into a Construction Yard and two Harbinger Gunships fly towards the player's Construction Yard]
- Intel Officer: Harbinger Gunships en route to your location. These Gunships can lay down heavy suppressive fire over an area and are armed with a variety of powerful weapons. Use them with care.
- Eva: That's a lot of fire power in your hands, sir. FutureTech calls it the Harbinger Gunship and there's nothing better for bombarding an area. If you need to clear enemies out of your path, it should do the job.
Primary Objective 2: The MCV Must Survive[]
- Intel Officer: This is our only Construction Vehicle in the area. It must be defended.
[When the MCV is far from the player's troops]
- Allied troop: Don't leave us behind, sir!
Primary Objective 3: Defeat Shinzo's Loyalist Forces[]
- Shinzo: What is this?! These lands have been under my ancestors' protection for a thousand years. And now you challenge that legacy?
Bonus Objective 1: Capture the Nagama Dojos[]
- Tatsu: We must capture Shinzo's Dojo. Use my Imperial Engineers. Then I can send you some additional forces.
Primary Objective 4: Freeze the House of Shinzo[]
- Intel Officer: Shinzo must be subdued using our cryo-technology, for safe transport to our military detention centre.
- Imperial troop: How dare you desecrate our sacred land!
[Upon damaging Shinzo's house]
- Intel Officer: Hold your fire against Shinzo's house. He must be subdued.
[Upon freezing Shinzo's house]
- Shinzo: What is this trickery? You dishonor yourself by using such sorcery.
Primary Objective 5: Find and Freeze Shinzo's Disguised Transport[]
[If the player attacks any of the Tsunami Tanks]
- Intel Officer: Cease the assault on Shinzo's transport. He must be subdued.
- Intel Officer: Do not attack Shinzo! He must be subdued.
[When there are three minutes remaining on the timer]
- Intel Officer: Three minutes remaining.
[When there is one minute remaining on the timer]
- Intel Officer: One minutes remaining.
[When there are thirty seconds remaining on the timer]
- Intel Officer: Thirty seconds remaining.
[When there are ten seconds remaining on the timer]
- Intel Officer: Ten seconds remaining.
Completion[]
- Shinzo: Your dishonor knows no bounds! You capture me with tricks and magic?!
- Tatsu: Today, you have taken on a true warrior. While I mourn his defeat, I can rest knowing Japan is one step closer to peace and stability.
Failure[]
[When the player loses all of their forces during Primary Objective 1 or fails Primary Objective 2 by letting the MCV/Construction Yard get destroyed.]
- Intel Officer: Your forces were defeated and Allied Command cannot commit additional reinforcements. Mission aborted.
[When the player destroys Shinzo's house or transport instead of freezing it during Primary Objective 4 and 5 respectively]
- Intel Officer: Shinzo Nagama has been killed -- the purpose of this operation was to subdue him. Aborting mission.
