Parker is in the Scrin Tower. Scrin characters appear in his optical implant and he has a brief vision of Lillian.
Lillian (hallucination): Honey...
Kane: Lilly is dead, Commander. There may be blood on my hands... but none of hers...
An incident report is displayed in Parker's implant.
[FRIENDLY FIRE INCIDENT REPORT - 69830]

[Location: New Adana]
[Time: Mid-Morning]
[Date: May 6th, 2077]
[Description:]
[Orca bomber squadron B13 was provided the incorrect coordinates for a refuge of Nod extremists threatening the New Adana TCN Hub and instead destroyed the civilian shelter in Sector J24.]

Kane: Did your friend, Colonel James, not share this with you? No, of course she didn't. She needed her hatred of me to become yours, so that you could become her puppet. Listen... learn your true purpose. The Tiberium Control Network and your implant, both are from the Tacitus... both are from me. Your implant is the key to the portal. There were others, but Gideon took them from me. You are all I have left now. Only you, your implant, your energy, can activate the Scrin Portal. With that, you can save this planet and I can finally leave this Earth. For me, Ascension is real. Deny me if you must, but do so knowing that you doom this planet to an endless cycle of war.
James: Commander! Stand down!
James appears with a pistol aimed at Kane.
Kane: He knows the truth, Colonel.
James: Listen to me, Commander. You activate that portal you'll destroy everything! This is Kane! We have him... we can end the fighting right here.
Kane: You know what you have to do. Fulfill your destiny, save this planet.
James: Enough! Enough of your lies!
James shoots Kane at point blank. The messiah falls to the ground. Parker looks at the portal and contemplates activating it.
James: He took everything... He'll do it again...
James shoots Parker, but the wounded Commander crawls towards the portal and begins its activation sequence.

Parker looks up to see James preparing the coup de grace, but Kane emerges from behind and snatches her pistol. James appears dumbfounded.
Kane (to Parker): Go.
James: Kane?...
James is subsequently dealt with off-screen. Parker activates the Scrin portal. He then passes out and his implant shuts down.
[SHUTDOWN SEQUENCE INITIATED]
[REBOOT]
Parker reawakens to see Kane next to the portal.
Kane: Thank you.
[VITAL SIGNS FAILING]
[SYSTEM FAILURE IMMINENT]
[SHUTDOWN SEQUENCE INITIATED]
As Kane enters the portal and ascends, Parker's implant shuts down for good. He has one last vision of Lillian before dying of his wounds.
