Introduction

McNeil and an accompanying infantryman explore the Scrin ship.

McNeil: Stay alert people, just because the lights are off doesn't mean nobody's home. This is some crazy technology. You getting this, Chandra?

Chandra: Recording the whole thing, sir. Looks like Vega's boys cleaned it out.

McNeil's helmet is knocked off. The other soldier is absent, possibly knocked out. McNeil gets into a confrontation with a veiled assailant.

Umagon: Not bad for a blunt!

McNeil: You shiner!...

Umagon: My name's Umagon and you better use it... unless you want your head cut off.

McNeil: I don't...

Umagon: I can help you... I can help you find Vega.

McNeil: Vega?

Umagon: [Takes off veil] The Brotherhood holds our leader Tratos in a highly secured medical colony south of here. We don't have the resources to break him out, without you. But, you can't find Vega without us.

McNeil: Why should I trust you?

Umagon: Unlike you blunts, the Forgotten are a people of honor.

Back on the Kodiak...

EVA: I have pinpointed the location of a Nod prison camp. An array of sensor towers has been installed around the perimeter.

Umagon: If we don't take that array out first they'll know we're coming. Tratos will be killed.

McNeil: EVA, give us an approach assessment.

Mission selection

EVA: Tratos is being held in a hospital prison facility within this sector. Avoid detection and rescue Tratos from the facility. Once he is out, a transport will be sent in to evacuate him. Once Tratos is clear, destroy all Nod forces in the area to prevent further experimentation.

Briefing

Nod is experimenting on mutant survivors at a facility in this sector. Among them is Tratos, leader of the mutants. Using Umagon's strike team, rescue Tratos from imprisonment and EVAC him at the specified site. Once complete, move in with GDI forces and destroy the Nod base and the prison test facility.

• Objective One: Rescue Tratos from prison.
• Objective Two: EVAC Tratos at specified site.
• Objective Three: Destroy the Nod base and test facility.

Mission script

Establishing battlefield control, stand by...

Umagon: We must get Tratos out of that facility, but try to be subtle. If we're detected, he's as good as dead.
