Ghazali: Although the United States has ordered its mercenaries to hunt down Dr. Thrax, the Global Liberation Army has abandoned efforts to protect the rogue scientist, who is known to be unstable. Senseless American aggression once more fills the sky with smoke and fire but despite this air power and combined full strength, China and America cannot hope to break the GLA chain of command. GLA leaders promised a continuing war of attrition against the enemies of freedom. It is a war they will win. This is Omar bin Ghazali, reporting.
Mission script[]
Cutscene 1[]
Two Humvees are chasing a limo escorted by Technicals in a city as it begins to be bombed.
Charlie 2: Patrol to base, target has been located and we are in pursuit!
USA Command: Be advised, the bombing campaign has already begun. Be careful patrol!
Charlie 2: Roger that base, I'm on the right!
Charlie 3: I'll take the left.
Charlie 3: I'm taking fire!
Charlie 2: Stay on 'em!
Charlie 3: LOOK OUT!
Charlie 3's Humvee crashes into an oil truck with the label "REALLY EXPLOSIVE" coming at an intersection, resulting in a large explosion.
Charlie 2: Base, Charlie 3 is down! Repeat, Charlie 3 is down!
Charlie 2 manages to destroy one of the Technicals.
USA Command: Continue pursuit, Charlie 2! This is our best shot at it!
Coming to a bend, Charlie 2's Humvee pursues and shoots down the second Technical, who crashes into the base of a tall tower.
Charlie 2: Escorts eliminated, I've got him!
The tower collapses itself into the Humvee's path.
Charlie 2: NOOO- [Crashes]
Limo driver: [Chuckles] General, we made our escape and are headed for the rendezvous point. The GLA has arisen again!
Gameplay 1[]
[Outside the city...]
Khan: General, you must help our true leader escape so that the GLA can live on. Dr. Thrax may have died for the cause, but that is inconsequential. If our brother escapes, the US will not have seen the last of the GLA.
[HINT:]
[Upgrade GLA units by moving them onto salvage crates]
