Introduction[]
Bingham: You caught them by the short and curlies, Commander. They didn't know what hit them. Well, it looks like everything Zelinsky said was true. I can hardly believe it myself. Those treacherous Russians are to blame for everything that has happened in this war. The only thing that matters now is the complete and utter destruction of the Soviet Union. Cherdenko and Krukov have concentrated all their forces in the one place they believe is impregnable: the Peter and Paul Fortress in Leningrad. Bring it down, Commander! Make them pay for their lies and betrayal!
Briefing[]
Eva: The Soviets are making their last stand in Leningrad, and I'm sure they'll throw everything they have at you. They'll use the canals to protect the fortress, so I expect you’ll be facing enemy naval forces. Decimate what's left of the Soviet war machine, Commander. I know you can do it. And when this is all over... [Looks around] I'd like to invite you back to my flat for a little victory dinner.
Mission summary[]
Intelligence: The decision is made to bring the Soviet leadership to justice. We are mobilizing our forces to appear on their doorstep in Leningrad. We are trying a risky tactic: shrinking our MCVs to get deep into Soviet territory to take them by surprise. Expect fierce resistance. Here are your objectives:
- Clear a drop zone for Allied forces incoming via our Chronosphere technology.
- Eliminate the Soviet defenses in this area.
- Ensure the Soviet Premier does not escape. Bring down his fortress.
Mission script[]
Eva: We're shrinking down some MCVs to run through the strong Soviet resistance. Set up a base deep inside their territory so we can use the Chronosphere to move in some forces!
Primary Objective 1: Unpack MCV 1 at Chrono Drop Zone 1 and Primary Objective 2: Unpack MCV 2 at Chrono Drop Zone 2[]
Intelligence: Good luck, Commanders. Above all else, avoid being crushed.
Primary Objective 3: Clear the Plateau of Soviets[]
Warren: Well, this is it. And I'm right here with you, Commander. You can count one me to do whatever it takes to put these backstabbers down today!
Warren: Let's kick these Soviets off the plateau.
Cherdenko: Commander, you've rained on my glorious parade! For this, I'm sending everything I've got at you. But I won't let you have the satisfaction of catching me!
[The Peter and Paul Fortress transforms into a space launch platform.]
Cherdenko: I'm escaping to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism... SPACE!
Eva: The Premier is trying to escape! He has barricaded himself into the fortress at the center of these canals. You can't let him get away. Take these credits, assemble an army, and stop the shuttle before it launches!
Primary Objective 4: Destroy All Seven Iron Curtains[]
Allied soldier: Tesla Tanks, they're gonna torture us!
Warren: I'm going to take down the western Iron Curtains now.
Intelligence: The destroyed Soviet bases can be used as expansion locations.
[Upon destroying an Iron Curtain]
Intelligence: An Iron Curtain has been destroyed.
Warren: Maybe we should just let them go to the Moon...
Intelligence: Commander, you are cleared to construct the Proton Collider. The effects of this weapon would be catastrophic to any of the densely-packed Soviet bases here.
[On countdown reaching 15 minutes]
Intelligence: T-minus 15 minutes before the shuttle launch.
[On countdown reaching 10 minutes] Intelligence: T-minus 10 minutes before the shuttle launch.
Bingham: We're running out of time, Commander. Don't let the Premier get away!
Cherdenko: Are you not going to make it to my send-off, Commander?
[On countdown reaching 5 minutes]
Intelligence: 5 minutes until shuttle launch. The situation is reaching critical mass.
Cherdenko: Dasvidanya, Commander! I'll send you a postcard from my space station.
Warren: We're running out of time.
[Upon taking out all western Iron Curtains]
Warren: I'll start taking out the eastern Iron Curtains, one by one.
Bonus Objective 1: Destroy the Vacuum Imploder[]
Krukov: I've got something up my sleeve for you, Commander. Why don't you come a little bit closer to my base?
Intelligence: General Krukov's military base has come online. General Krukov has activated the Vacuum Imploder. Destroy it before he uses it on your base.
Primary Objective 5: Destroy the Premier's Fortress[]
Intelligence: All Iron Curtains offline. The shuttle launch facility is now vulnerable.
Warren: Let's focus our assault on the shuttle.
Intelligence: The launch facility is highly resistant to direct fire. Find a way to bring it down quickly.
Completion[]
Warren: It's been a privilege and an honor, sir. You're the finest Commander I've known... and a true hero to the Allies.
Bingham: Congratulations, Commander! You've done it! Those Soviets deserved every bit of what you've just given them. Magnificent work!
Mision failure[]
[Failing Primary Objective 1 or 2 due to unpacking MCV at the wrong location]
Intlligence: Your MCV has unpacked outside the chrono drop zone. Chrono coordinates lost. Mission failed.
[Failing Primary Objective 1 or 2 due to one of the MCVs being destroyed or their respective Construction Yards being sold or destroyed]
Intelligence: They took out one of our MCV's. Aborting mission.
[Failing Primary Objective 4 or 5 due to running out of time]
Intelligence: The Soviet Shuttle has launched- Mission Failed.

Cherdenko: Aww, you made it all this way just to fail at the end! Such a shame.

BCN: It seems like only days ago that this brilliant new commander was called to lead the Allied Nations at a desperate hour.

Eva: You didn't forget my invitation, did you Commander? I was hoping you were free this evening...
Tanya enters the transmission, in a black party dress. Both women appear unaware of each other's presence.
Tanya: Not bad, huh, Commander? I clean up pretty good. How about celebrating over a drink tonight? I know this great little pub in Soho.
Eva and Tanya: Commander?

Vice President Takes the Reins[]

The Vice President arrives at the White House podium to a crowd of reporters.
Vice President: Hello, and uh thank you all for coming here. I take this podium today, reluctantly... and with a heavy heart. President Howard Ackerman was a great American. I was proud to be his friend and proud to be his Vice President. Yes, he did try to level Moscow and kill millions of innocent people, but only because he was trying to protect us. And in the end, isn't that what really matters? We owe much to those brave heroes who stood against the forces of fascism and communism. Like that courageous young commander who led the free world to victory. Thank you, commander... wherever you are. Today, I will take the reins of this great country and together, we will march forward into a bright and prosperous future. We will share with our defeated enemies the fruits of capitalism and consumerism. For if they're shopping for cars or plasma TVs, they won't want to build up massive armies or invent new weapons of war! They'll be enjoying the American Dream... sitting with their families on Super Sunday, watching the big game... with the rest of us.
