The Triceratops (Greek for "Three-Horned Face") was a species of Dinosaur claimed to have been encountered during the First Tiberium War. It was a slow moving dinosaur used primarily for base assault.

Background[]

Like the Stegosaurus, the Triceratops was a large herbivore that lived in groups with others of its kind. It was theorized that the twin massive horns above the eyes were used for goring predatory dinosaurs, such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Current paleontologists believe that the creatures did not charge as modern rhinoceros do, as the skulls were not powerful enough to withstand the impact of the creature's bulk slamming into another object. Rather, the Triceratops would group together with other members of its species and form a "wall" of sorts, which would serve to defend them all.

Game unit[]

Like the Stegosaurus, the Triceratops was a slow but well-armored beast. This made it a good choice for assaulting immobile defenses and buildings. It could crush infantry but its lack of speed did not make the Triceratops ideal for this purpose.

Counters[]

Like all dinosaurs, this creature had no anti-air defense and could be easily killed by an Orca team. Its lack of speed made the Triceratops vulnerable to Rocket Infantry, was well as long range units such as Artillery, the MLRS, and Surface to Surface Missile Launchers.
