Two Tribes is the single and second track from Think About Mutation's 1999 album High Life, and is a cover of the song of the same name by Frankie Goes to Hollywood from 1984.

The song was promoted as the "official Command & Conquer[: Tiberian Sun]" track in Germany, despite not being included in the game's soundtrack. The band got to play the game among the first in Germany in early August 1999, and released an accompanying music video with the band members wearing helmets seen in the cover art, with several clips from the game's cutscenes. The cover art for the single featured a woman wearing the aforementioned helmet, with the band members seen in the reflection.

The song was performed during the official Tiberian Sun launch event in Berlin on 20 August 1999.

Lyrics[]

Note: the lyrics are slightly changed from the original song.

When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Score no more, score no more...
When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Workin' for the bad guys
Cowboy number one, a born again poor man's son
Workin' for the bad guys...

When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Score no more, score no more...
When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Workin' for the bad guys...

Switch off your shield
Switch off and feel
I'm workin' on lovin'
I'm givin' you back the good times
I'm shippin' out, out
I'm givin' you back the good times
I'm shippin' out, out

When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Score no more, score no more...
When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Workin' for the bad guys
When two tribes go to war,
A point is all that you can score
Workin' for the bad guys...

Listen to the voice saying "follow me"

We've got two tribes
We got the bomb,
We got the bomb, yeah...
Are we living in a land, are we living in a land...
Are we living in a land, are we living in a land...
Are we living in a land where sex and horror are the new gods?
...Where sex and horror are the new gods, where sex and horror are the new gods?
